Jessica Baxter is Apprentice of the Year
Jessica Baxter who has just finished a one year apprenticeship with Black Sluice Internal Drainage Board has been named Apprentice of the Year in Business Administration at a ceremony at the Sam Newsome Music Centre in Boston last night. Studying at Boston College and gaining a level 2 diploma in Business and Administration, Jess has been employed full time with BSIDB and is carrying on her studies to gain further qualifications from September.
Jess was interviewed on stage by Melvyn Prior, from BBC Radio Lincolnshire, after she had been presented with her award and she recounted the story of how she had opted to proceed down the Apprenticeship route having already started University. Black Sluice IDB are lucky to have Jess working for us and the Board passes on their congratulations for your award and thanks for your hard work.
Matt Warman MP has been in to the office today and Jess told him that she feels apprenticeships should be promoted more as she would recommend them to anyone.
