GIS & Planning & Byelaw Officer

Reporting to the Projects Director
Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities:-
Operational
- Development of map sets to support operations works
- Liaise with Operations Supervisor relating to land access & compensation
- Produce works notices
- Annual Pumping Station Surveys
- Provide current information regarding locations of utility apparatus to all the Board’s Land Drainage Operatives
GIS & Tom-Tom
- Maintain GIS ArcMap
- Assess GIS Layer to produce future programable works (Desilting)
- GIS - Identify issues with tracker
- Overall maintenance of the Board’s GIS and database system
- General maintenance, troubleshooting and point of contact for ESRI ArcMap GIS Software
- Point of contact with ESRI UK in relation to ArcMap GIS.
- Correspondence linked to GIS databases to support the Operations department. (Works Notices)
- Maintenance of TomTom tracking system and integration into ESRI ArcMap GIS
- Contact for TomTom
- Management and maintenance of operations team software apps
Maintenance of live maps on Board’s website
- Updating and maintaining external partner data
- Providing data to comply with notifiable environmental works
Planning / Consenting
- Liaise with CEO & Operations Manager, Planning & Byelaw Assistant over technical input over planning & byelaw applications
- Compile Technical Byelaw & Consent reports for Board & Committee Meetings
- Liaise with CEO & Operations Manager over surface water & drainage problems
- Control FX files Make recommendations to Operations Manager for response and action
- Solicitor drain enquiry responses
- Contact point for major works projects - Triton Knoll, Viking Link etc.
- Responses to MOP / Ratepayers / Developers / Property Owners enquiries Tel / Email
Representation / Liaison - external bodies & groups
- Lincs Show Committee Meetings
- Attendance at mtgs - Engineers Forum, Flood Risk Groups, Major projects tec.
- Meetings for major projects IDB Liaison with developers
- LRF Silver Control IDB MAIC Attendee
- Notify utility companies if working in the vicinity of any utilities
