Works Supervisor

SP 22 (2022/23), 4x4 vehicle provided
Reporting to the Works Manager

To supervise the operations of the labour force, liaising with the OM on the compilation of the programme of works.

Micro manage the workforce, depot, plant and stock
Programme works and ensure they are adequately prepared
Control the summer cutting works (assistance provided from workforce foreman)
Directly supervise the entire workforce to include the Boards Fitter/Assistant Pump Engineer
Liaise with the Pump Engineer regarding the Fitters/Assistant Pump Engineers work programme
Liaise with land owners/tenants on access arrangements and compensation
Working with TE to send out notices for desilting and bushing works
Arrange with the workforce for emergency working when required
Directly control the SKDC hand mowing contract, prepare and agree for invoicing with Sales Ledger Clerk
Assist in the inspection and reporting on asset conditions
Control the out of hours Pumping Station inspection and maintenance works
Carrying out of work force appraisals and the handling of discipline and grievance
Complete records and drivers log sheets including time sheets and coding
Any other duties that are reasonably asked of you
